He has done his Ph.D. in Political Science. He has initiated several e-governance projects in his tenure in Jalore, including poll day sms monitoring system, biometric attendance in government schools, Jabro Jalore Facebook page for public and SAMPARK – Whatsapp based grievances collection and redressal system. He also won state e-Governance award 2014-15. He has immense belief in ICT’s ability to increase the ease and speed of social communication. . In his rare free time he likes to indulge in painting and photography.
2. Deepak Anand
Saran, District Magistrate
He is a 2007 batch Bihar cadre IAS Officer with wide exposure in governance, especially with respect to maintenance of law & order in the regions of posting. He is also a winner of national annual e-panchayat puraskar 2014-15 for demonstrating better progress in the e-enablement initiatives of Panchayats. One of his key achievements of his tenure in Saran has been 100 percent digitization of the central & state pensioner and provided bar-coded passbook to 2,19,491 citizens. Under his supervision Saran district has been taken on online tracking system of Indira Awas Yojna for beneficiaries of district. Public can see IAY status online from financial year 1995-96 to current financial year on Saran District website (http://saran.bih.nic.in). His district administration also generated Ration Card with the help of SECC Data and provided the data to department for online Ration Card of beneficiaries.
3. Ms. Remya Mohan Moothadath,
Navsari, District Collector
Remya, is an I.A.S officer from 2007 batch. She is also a recipient of best D.D.O. Award for the year 2011-12. She believes Digital infrastructure can be a great utility for the delivery of public services to every citizen. Her vision is to put governance to a more unique, authenticable and online platforms for electronic and cashless transactions. She thinks more digital platforms for participative governance will save everyone from the hassles of time consuming paper work. She also holds MBA degree from Symbiosis and in her free time likes to write poetry in English.
4. Vinod Kumar Suman
Almora, District Collector
Vinod is effectively using IT tools to automate and manage district projects and information flow in his district. His administration is successfully delivering digitally signed certificates among citizens. He is quite proud of the fact that his district has the highest rate of public grievance redressal system in the state through samadhan web portal. All important information and notification related to government schemes and policies can be easily accessed by citizens through an interactive online platform. Under his supervision all the departments are also actively using whatsapp for quick and prompt responses to public queries.
5. Bhanu Chandra Goswami
District Collector, Jaunpur
He believes we need digital literacy to cover and make people aware of the digital trends in governance to be connected, informed and updated.
His district administration is working hard to make all the departments digitally empowered for better governance such as making use of Google and other search engines for information collection; connecting through- social media, email, video conferences and online conversations. As a district magistrate, he feels that technology can be used as a primary tool to make an information-rich nation because ICT is changing the way we connect and interact, and there is no better way than ICT resources to provide information to everyone in an easy and unbiased way which is accessible to all.
6. Saumya Aggarwal
District Collector, Unnao, U.P
The passion and enthusiasm for technology and its application derives her dream of better governance. She has initiated ‘Smart District’ project that aims to digitalize and automate every public delivery service system and project management in the district. She is utilizing all the usable IT tools in daily functioning, like e-mails, public grievances software and whatsapp, to engage with public and solving their issues promptly. The use of technology will provide the citizens necessary access to all the detailed information and notifications related to administration activities.
