About the Award

The Award recognizes, and encourages further dissemination of ICT practices and implements ICT at large to break the traditional mode of public delivery mechanisms in day-to-day governance. ‘District Collector Digital Champions’ is trying to achieve this objective by identifying the champions of ICT in India from all the districts. The purpose of organising the award is to recognize champions amongst district collectors of India, who use ICT practices to empower citizens, serve public services clients and strengthen participation of citizens in decision-making.

Objective

The core objective of the District Collector Digital Champion Award is to provide a platform to all the ICT empowered districts of India to come, and exhibit about their initiatives and developments using the next generation digital innovations, implementations thereby strengthening the governance of the nation where transparency and governance is not a casualty and the citizens are the empowered lot.
